AVStar is Lycoming’s preferred supplier of new carburettors, fuel servos, flow dividers and nozzles .All AVStar fuel Components can only be overhauled or repaired by an AVStar Authorised Repair Centre of which Nicholson McLaren Aviation have been appointed.

Only original AVStar Parts are installed during the overhaul process• With our in-house capability and being a distributer with a complete and large stock holding we can usually carry out overhaul or repairs in 3-5 days.
Product liability insurance applies to all Fuel Pumps overhauled by NMA.

Are your carburettors compliant with volare SB-4 Rev B (previously MSA-13) or Lycoming SB 582A?
AVStar’s overhauled carburettors comply with all FAA regulations and incorporate a FAA-PMA approved brass float. As such, they are exempt from these service bulletins.
The epoxy float in question is the latest in a series of float designs that are, or were, intended to achieve the robust performance of the brass float.
AVStar’s new FAA-PMA carburettors are now the only carburettor being installed on new engines manufactured by Lycoming. The same FAA-PMA brass float installed in these fuel systems is used in our overhaul process.
Will I require an STC to install an AVStar carburettor, fuel servo, flow divider or nozzles to my Lycoming engine?
AVStar Fuel systems are now OEM on Lycoming Engines, Lycoming have released SI1523G for carburettor applications and SI1532K for Fuel injection applications.
