I just wanted to write to express my appreciation for the work carried out on my engine following its shock load inspection and subsequent overhaul.
I have finally been able to get the aircraft running again after delays with the delivery of a new propeller, and I have to say that both the engine and the whole experience with Nicholson McLaren exceeded my expectations immeasurably.
The turnaround time was unbelievably quick, particularly compared with my previous rebuild, which took a year and a half — an experience I certainly never want to repeat! The engine started on the very first attempt and has run perfectly from the outset. In fact, it is running better than ever.
I would particularly like to thank Dean and Mario.
Dean was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the whole process, despite no doubt being extremely busy with numerous other projects. Having someone so knowledgeable, easy to communicate with and willing to help made an enormous difference.
Mario also deserves a special mention for the tremendous custom paint job, which looks absolutely fantastic. Mario came to collect the engine following the incident and was the one who suggested it. It had not even occurred to me at the time, but he offered some ideas based on his experience about what would look good, and the finished result is genuinely superb.
Offering a complimentary custom paint job is also a fantastic touch. It really sets Nicholson McLaren apart and makes the whole overhaul experience feel considerably more personal and special.
I cannot thank you and your team enough for all the effort that went into the engine and for making what could have been a very stressful process such a positive experience.
Needless to say, I will not be using anyone other than Nicholson McLaren for my engine work in the future.
